Our first batch of Chipotle sauce was made with a #Chingona recipe that was treasured from generation to generation. This recipe was discovered in the kitchen of our home, in the city of Córdoba, Veracruz, which is also known as the “City of 30 Knights”.

Thanks to the serious economic crisis that the family faced in the year 2000, we decided to transform our enterprise and now focus on making sauces and chiles, taking advantage of the gastronomic heritage of Mrs. Pirata, a.k.a. Imelda Jiménez Beristain.

As a child, her mother taught her the art of giving a unique and special flavor to all her dishes.

Combining Mrs. Pirata’s culinary expertise with the business experience of Mr. Pirata, we began to develop our own products with a lot of effort, work, dedication and a big dream to earn the preference of our customers.

Once the first few stores and food stands in Córdoba began to bring our sauce to their tables, El Pirata de Córdoba’s reputation for irresistible flavor and authentic versatility, grew like tide on a full moon night.

In only a couple of years, the company expanded its territory through several states in southern Mexico.

We developed and introduced more #Chingones products into the market, such as Salsa Macha, which is based on a classic, very spicy sauce from Veracruz, and our own Salsa Habanera.

Today, Salsas & Chiles El Pirata D’Córdoba is still owned by the same family of pirates who dared to launch it more than 15 years ago.

El Pirata products are now sold in major retail chains throughout Mexico, and recently we began our conquest of the rest of the world, beginning with the United States of America.el pirata star
